Vtg REJA Vermeil Sterling Aqua Glass Rhinestone BUTTERFLY Figural Brooch Pin. VERMEIL STERLING AQUA GLASS RHINESTONE BUTTERFLY FIGURAL BROOCH PIN. Gorgeous collectible known "Reja" butterfly brooch/pin. Sterling silver with vermeil plating (wearing) with sapphire and ruby chatons on the wings, clear paste chatons encrusting his head and down center of upper body. Ruby red cabochon eyes, and a large teardrop shaped faceted aqua stone for his bottom part of body and two matching oval faceted aqua stones on the sides of his upper body.

All stones (except for the clear chatons) are open-back which allows for the maximum amount of light to shine thru. I collect butterflies and it was everything I could do not to keep this for myself. Its a beauty and would make a great addition to your collection.

It is common to see this piece unsigned. In fact, all the ones I have seen have not been signed. I guarantee this is a Reja piece and collectors will know this with just one look.

1 3/4 x 1 1/4. Very good condition with the exception of some vermeil plate wear.
