Vintage AMCO Sterling Silver Blue Moonstone Glass Necklace Earrings Ring Set

  

Very good vintage condition with normal age-related wear, oxidation and patina. The set has not been aggressively polished. Please review all photographs closely for condition and measurements. Beautiful and unusually complete vintage AMCO sterling silver three-piece matching jewelry set, dating approximately to the 1950s.

The set includes the matching. Vintage "Valley of Treasure" presentation box. All three jewelry pieces feature coordinating pale blue moonstone-effect/opalescent glass cabochons, small blue accent rhinestones and detailed sterling silver floral and leaf motifs. The ring is clearly signed STERLING AMCO. AMCO jewelry was manufactured by A. Examples of the AMCO blue cabochon necklace and matching earrings can occasionally be found, but the coordinating AMCO sterling ring appears considerably less common. Finding the necklace, earrings and ring together makes this an especially attractive surviving matching set. Necklace: Approximately 16½-17 wearable length, including extension. Center Necklace Drop: Approximately 1¾. Overall length including screw-back fittings. Ring Cabochon: Approximately ½ long. Necklace Center Cabochon: Approximately ½ long. The set comes with the pictured vintage "Valley of Treasure" Sterling Silver presentation box. The box appears period appropriate and is fitted for a necklace, earrings and ring. However, I have not confirmed that Valley of Treasure packaging was manufactured specifically for AMCO, so the box is being included as vintage presentation packaging rather than represented as an original AMCO factory box. Comparable AMCO jewelry from this same pale-blue cabochon line is generally identified as moonstone-effect, moonglow or opalescent glass.

The stones have not been professionally gemologically tested, and this listing does not represent them as natural moonstones. The jewelry is in very good vintage condition with normal signs of age and previous use. Some natural sterling silver patina/oxidation may be present. The vintage presentation box shows age, discoloration and wear consistent with its age. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are considered an important part of the description.
