VINTAGE STERLING SILVER 1855 SPECTACLES EYEGLASS CASE 1.9 oz (54 grams) ENGRAVED

  

This gorgeous eye glasses case is old (not sure how old though). It is marked "sterling 1855" on the underside of the lid.

The lovely inscription on the bottom reads "Schwartz Bros to Jeff". A quick Google search revealed several Schwartz Bros companies, so I'm not sure of the origin of this piece. But it sure is a beauty!
