Antique ALVIN Large, Wide, Clear Glass & Sterling Silver Overlay Perfume Bottle

  

It is approximately 5 1/4" in height(with stopper) and 5" in width at the widest point. The cartouche has a 3 letter monogram in script. There is an internal crack in the neck area which is smooth to the touch. The number "478" is etched on the bottom of both the bottle and the stopper.

On the lower rim of silver the markings are worn. They appear to be "999/1000 fine" with the Alvin hallmark and "C16-1". The bottle will be carefully wrapped for safe arrival.
