Lovely Antique American Brilliant Cut Glass Sterling Silver Carafe Vase Decanter. Presented is a lovely antique sterling silver and American Brilliant Period cut glass carafe, dating to the late 1800s.

The body of the carafe is fabulously cut with dazzling hobstars, panels of strawberry cut design, and rayed stars, very high quality and well done decoration that catches the light very attractively. The carafe has a sterling silver top, with a beaded design around the neck and a flared rim. Filled to the bottom of the sterling collar, the carafe has a generous capacity of at least 4 cups, or 32 fluid ounces/950 milliliters. This piece is in great overall condition.

The silver has a small dent near the rim, as you can see in the eighth photograph. There are no other dents, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs to the silver. The cut glass body has a couple of very minor nicks or fleabites here and there, but nothing that is noticeable without close, careful inspection in bright light.

The glass has no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. Fradley & Co of New York. The carafe stands about 7 1/2 inches tall at the rim and measures about 6 1/4 inches in diameter.
