Stunning antique French sterling silver & swirled glass 11 3/4" tall 36oz wine or claret jug with ornate rococo styling, royal crown topped "AS monogram and fabulous condition! One of two that we're adding this week, just in from France and just in time for the Holiday season entertaining.

This one beautifully ornate with sinuous rocaille accented handle, pierced or reticulated silver collar with scrolls and floral accents and that wonderful crown-topped monogram. The swirled glass body likely Baccarat, the most prominent glass company of the time. The silver parts bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" in the upper right of those marks means it's in. 950 silver 95% pure and so higher than the.

925 standard for "sterling" silver. Silversmith marks are mostly legible and appear to be "HG", most likely for Henry-Alexandre Goulon, Paris circa 1850s. A gorgeous service piece literally made for royalty, don't miss it! Very good to excellent condition. I see no flaws to note.

No damage or repairs to the silver portions and no chips, cracks or damage to the glass body. The jug holds 36 fluid ounces. See pictures for all measurements.
