Antique Mappin & Webb Sterling Silver & Cut Glass Perfume Bottle French Essence

  

Just out of a local smoke free house is this antique sterling topped and brilliant cut glass perfume or cologne bottle. It has a nicely cut geometric pattern with a star cut base. The sterling top is engraved French Essence by Eug, possibly for Eugene Rimmel Ltd. The top and collar also have the hallmarks for Mappin and Webb, London, The Sterling Lion in Passant, and the date mark for 1902. It is in very good condition for its age with small dents on the top and a few small fleabites on the glass.
