Antique Sterling Silver & Glass Rod Hat Holder / Millinery Display Stand The piece measures 12 tall. The sterling base measures 2 3/4" across and the sterling top measures 1 1/4" across. Both metal sections are hallmarked STERLING.

The metal was acid tested and is sterling silver. The rod was tested on gem tester and tests as glass. When viewed through the glass rod, printed letters appear reversed, consistent with early optical-style glass construction.

The base includes vent-style cutouts typical of early hat stands and counter display holders. Unsigned other than the sterling marks. This is not common - the sterling top + sterling base + thick glass rod combination identifies it as a late Victorian / Edwardian millinery shop hat stand or counter display accessory Measurements Total height: 12" Base diameter: 2 3/4" Top diameter: 1 1/4 Material: Sterling silver (tested), glass Condition Tarnish consistent with age.
