European 12 Magnifying Glass, Sterling Silver & Enamel Handle

  

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely European custom made magnifying glass with decorative Sterling Silver, wood and enamel handle. The handle is made of a dark hardwood decorated with silver bands and engine turned enamel panels.

One panel is a pale blue color with pin flowers with green foliage and is bordered with white enamel bands. The wide end panel has rich violet/purple coloration with an amethyst cabochon stone on the tip. There is a heavy unmarked silver band around the glass section. This nice magnifying glass is in very good to excellent Estate condition with the only noted flaw being a damaged area on the purple enamel section (see photos).

This damage is hidden when the magnifying glass is laying flat on one side. There may be some other faint signs of normal wear that we have not noticed but no other flaws worthy of noting. Measures 12" long with the magnifying glass section being 3 1/2" in diameter.
