Flower Frog Sterling Silver Cartier 1920s Art Deco Glass Insert Floral Arranger

  
This is the real deal. Signed "Cartier Sterling" on the rim, clearly stamped, and it's exactly the kind of small luxury object Cartier produced for wealthy American clients during the Art Deco period. The sterling collar holds the original glass insert with the classic raised pinholder surface for keeping flower stems in place. The mark is script "Cartier" followed by "Sterling, " consistent with their American silver pieces from the 1920s and 1930s. Approximately 2.75 inches in diameter. These don't come up often with the Cartier mark intact and legible, and flower frogs in general are having a strong collector moment right now as the ikebana-style and vintage floral arranging aesthetic has exploded in popularity.
