For sale is a beautiful pair of antique hip flasks by J. Dixon & Sons, each featuring crocodile leather, blown glass bodies, and sterling silver bases and hinged caps.

These are stunning display pieces and highly collectible, especially as a matched set in two sizes. Material: Crocodile leather, glass, and sterling silver. Assay Office mark: The Crown symbol indicates the item was assayed (tested and marked) in the Sheffield Assay Office. Standard mark: The Lion Passant symbol is the British standard mark for sterling silver, guaranteeing a purity of 92.5% pure silver. Date letter: The lowercase'a' in a square punch with cut corners corresponds to a specific year in the date cycle used by the Sheffield Assay Office. Silver shows gentle age-appropriate patina. Leather in very good antique condition with expected wear. Glass intact with no cracks observed. Large flask: Approximately 160mm tall.
