Antique Tiffany Glass Blue Glass Scarab set in Modern Sterling Silver Pendant

  
This is an antique original Tiffany glass scarab, iridescent, blue, and or cobalt color, smallest size, made in the very early 1900s. The scarab is set in a modern recently made Sterling silver pendant setting, and the setting is not made by Tiffany, only the scarab of itself. While these were still being produced, none of the glass scarabs were ever themselves marked or signed directly, only the metal setting would have had the signature or stamp on it. As this is not the original setting, there are no Tiffany markings to be found, but this size scarab in this color is quite scarce and very easily recognizable as being early 20th century Tiffany glass scarab. The new setting does have a "925" stamp on the back to indicate that it is sterling, as well as the letter "E" lower down on the back beneath the 925 stamp, the "E" is just a signatura of the person who made the setting (as the setting itself is modern made).

The scarab itself is in fantastic condition, not always the case with antique items so small and fragile. The blue iridescence is still intact and looks beautiful from any angle.
