Art Deco Sterling Silver Pink Enamel Camphor Glass Paste Necklace Fancy Chain

  

Offered here is an antique Art Deco sterling silver camphor glass pendant with pink enamel accents. The lovely pendant is suspended on a sterling silver paper clip chain. Pink enamel accents the delicate glass drawing the eye in. Centered on the pendant is a clear paste stone that is offset by the starburst design engraved into the back of the camphor glass.

Three pink glass beads add color to the necklace. Camphor glass was prized for its "icy" glow, perfectly complementing the slinky, architectural, and geometric styles of the Art Deco era. It also made an affordable substitute for gemstones so that everyday women could wear special pieces. The pendant measures 1 3/4" x 7/8".
