This is a very impressive cut glass jar with finely detailed floral repousse Sterling Silver hinged lid. Also included is the original fitted glass stopper. Hallmarks include the lion (facing right), the anchor (for Birmingham), and what appears to be the letter "C" or "G" date code.

Also marked STERLING, both on the collar, and on the interior of the lid. Exterior of jar features an intricate diamond cut glass decoration. Interior of collar and lid are chased in gold.

Bottom has a cut glass star design, with a beautifully polished finish. Stopper fits tightly into neck, as intended. This exceptional jar measures 4 7/8" tall, and just over 3" in diameter.

Displays beautifully, and in excellent condition, with no damage. This piece will polish beautifully, if desired. Silver has no dents, dings, or signs of use. Glass has no chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines, bruises, hidden damage, or repairs. Glass is crystal clear, with no cloudiness, stains, or haze.
