QUITE RARE & Hard to find glass, NOT to mention the scarceness of the pattern itself! This Early glass is Known as HAND BLOWN Mold Blown Glass.
Flower pattern looks to be a LILY or a Lotus Flower. The pattern on this is SO DIFFICULT to show in a photograph but it looks SO SO much better & more DEFINED in person!
A Very HARD TO FIND maker as well! Thomas Latham and Ernest Morton. All HAND BLOWN of course with a wonderful clarity & a cut & ground pontil on the bottom! A FABULOUS piece of EARLY AMERICANA!!!The stopper is Original Hollow Mold Blown glass stopper as well, of course! From the silver marks stamped on neck: the lion signifies That it is Sterling silver, the Heraldic shield stands for the city of Chester The T L and EM stand for Thomas Latham and Ernest Morton. The single letter appears to be an F which would date to 1861. Size It is 6 1/2 tall. Condition In great condition with no chips or cracks.
