Ruby Blood Red Glass With Sterling Cow Finial Thomas Bradbury Sons 19th Cent VGC. Here we have a beautiful lidded ruby red or blood Red bowl. I do not believe the bowl and lid are original together.

But the lid fits the bowl perfectly. The bowl or dish measures 4 in high and 5 in wide. I believe the lid and the finial are original to one another. The finial is by Thomas Bradbury of Sheffield England a mid 19th century silversmith and it is on its original silver plate lid, which apparently was a common practice of his to put a sterling finial on a silver plate lid. The finial is in exquisite condition.
