Unique Art Nouveau Cranberry Glass Perfume Bottle, Sterling Silver Overlay
This listing is for a lovely antique Art Nouveau period cranberry/ruby glass perfume, vanity or toiletries bottle. The glass has beautiful dark cranberry coloration with elaborate sterling silver swirled overlay. Has fancy cartouche on the top of the stopper suitable for an engraved monogram. The number 948 50 is etched in the bottom of the bottle and the matching stopper. Measures (with stopper inserted) 3-3/4" high, 3" wide at base and the top opening is 5/8 in diameter.
The bottle is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The cut glass stopper is in excellent condition with a small manufacture indentation (see last picture). The silver overlay is also in excellent condition with no noted damage.
