ANTIQUE MERIDEN STERLING SILVER & CUT CRYSTAL GLASS SYRUP PITCHER. Offered here is this antique cut glass syrup pitcher with mounted sterling silver top & lid made by Meriden of Connecticut circa 1900. This piece is stunning with the silver top having beaded edges and a thumb rest.
The lid opens upward when pouring. Beautiful cut glass stars and diamond shapes on the sides.
The pitcher is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. There are a few tiny fleabite chips along the edges on the sides that you can't see but can feel with your finger. The bottom of the pitcher has normal scratches from usage. Hard to find in this condition. The pitcher measures 6 3/4" tall to its tallest point and 4 1/2" wide at its widest point which includes the handle. The sterling silver is marked on the edge of the top with the Meriden intertwined letters mark & sterling (see pictures). The pitcher is quite heavy weighing 24.5 ounces.
