Art Nouveau Cranberry 5.25 Glass Scent Bottle, Gorham Sterling Silver Overlay

  

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely antique Art Nouveau period cranberry Art Glass perfume or scent bottle with Sterling Silver overlay decoration.

The bottle has a beautiful rich cranberry glass body and matching stopper with Sterling Silver decoration. There is a cartouche in the silver design engraved with fancy 3-letter monogram "H E B". The bottle measures 5 1/4" high (including stopper), 3 1/4" at widest with the mouth being 1 in diameter.

This pretty bottle does have a few issues. There are some fine internal hairlines extending from neck into body, mostly covered by the sterling overlay design most likely caused by the heat from time of applying the silver decoration and the glass stopper has a small no-harm chip on the bottom edge. The sterling overlay is in excellent condition with no noted flaws.
