Art Nouveau Cranberry Glass Perfume Dresser Bottle, Sterling Silver Overlay

  

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely antique Art Nouveau Period Cranberry/Ruby glass perfume, dresser or toiletries bottle with Sterling Silver overlay decoration, c. This nice perfume bottle has a "Genie bottle" shape with beautiful dark cranberry coloration in the glass body with clear glass pedestal base and matching glass stopper.

Intricate sterling silver decoration with center cartouche (unused). The silver is unmarked, but guaranteed to be Sterling. The bottle measures (with stopper inserted) 4 1/8" high, the top opening is 1/2" in diameter and the base is 1 1/2 in diameter. The bottle is in nice condition with the exception of some internal damage (smooth hairline on one side and smooth fracture on the other side) on the inside neck of the bottle not visible on the outside as it is covered with the silver neck.

The lower portion of the bottle is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The sterling overlay is excellent condition on the bottle with no noted damage. The stopper has minor damage and loss to the sterling overlay (see photos). It would make a very nice display bottle as the damage would be unseen when on display.
