Hobe 1940's 1/20th 14K (Vermeil) Over Sterling Silver FLORAL Glass Rhinestones

  

This is a magnificent Hobe sterling vermeil brooch pin. The brooch is shaped into a floral bouquet with a tied ribbon of sterling.

The flowers and buds are hand applied. There are faux faceted stones in bezel settings rising above the flower and ribbon. The colors are clean and luscious in green, pink, yellow, & purple.

The central rose and flung out buds rest on sterling bases which have been covered in 1/20 14K gold. Hallmarks: The applied cartouche states Hobe, 1/20th 14K on sterling, and under that is DESIGN PAT'D. There is a very small area of scratching after the word Hobe - tried to get close-ups of this.
