Antique Sterling Silver Cut Cranberry To Clear Glass Perfume Bottle

  

Presenting a stunning antique silver collared cranberry to clear cut glass perfume bottle dating to 1912. This stylishly shaped perfume bottle has a cranberry tinged top portion which smoothly graduates to a clear base. Each face of the four sided bottle is beautifully decorated with a deeply engraved exotic flower to the lower portion. The four edges of the bottle are decorated with square cuts which graduate to linear cuts while a band of diamond cuts adorns the neck. The neck of the bottle is fitted with a sterling silver collar with a wonderfully elaborate repousse design and blank shield-shaped cartouche.

The original facet cut clear glass teardrop stopper perfectly completes this elegant piece. EXQUISITE ANTIQUE SILVER CUT GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE. SIZE: This impressive perfume bottle stands approx 225mms tall measures from the base to the top of the stopper and 175mms tall excluding the stopper. The bottle measures approx 70mms in width at its widest.

WEIGHT: This piece weighs 390 grams unpackaged. CONDITION: This perfume bottle is presented in good antique condition but does display some signs of age. There are some fine cracks, chatters and minor bruises to the inner rim which remain stable and are obscured by the silver collar.

There is some clouding / residue to the interior of the bottle, a small nibble to the very tip of the stopper and the odd absolutely minuscule fleabites sized nibble to the edges of some of the faceted cuts to the bottle noticeable only on extremely close examination. This stunning piece displays exceptionally well. MARKS: The silver collar is beautifully hallmarked as being sterling grade silver produced in London in 1912 with the makers initials "OL". This superb piece would make a fine addition to any antique perfume bottle collection.
